There are many fun activities around the island. The following activities are recommended by the Bride and Groom.

Waimea Canyon – 1 Hour drive west of Poipu is Waimea Canyon State Park, called the ‘Grand Canyon of the Pacific.’ Stop at Jo Jo’s in Waimea Town for excellent Shaved Ice!

Spouting Horn – A few minutes drive from the Poipu hotels is Spouting Horn, a lookout over a blowhole that spouts a plume of seawater. Local vendors sell their merchandise at kiosks in this park.

McBryde Garden – Info on McBryde. Bring mosquito repellant.

Allerton Garden – Featured in many movies including Jurassic Park, South Pacific, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Bring mosquito repellant.

Napali Coast – The remote Napali Coast is one of the most beautiful places in Hawaii. There are a few ways to see the gorgeous Napali Coast. The first is by Helicopter. We can recommend the Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tour which departs from Lihue Airport.  The second option is by a boat tour. We can recommend the Holo Holo Charters, which depart from nearby Port Allen in Hanapepe town, a 30 minute drive from Poipu. It is also possible to do a kayak tour. There is a hiking trail but be warned that it is for very experienced hikers only.

Snorkeling – To rent fins and masks, we recommend visiting Snorkel Bob’s dive shop in Koloa. The Snorkel Bob employee will provide you with information regarding where it would be safest to snorkel during your trip.
