In the Poipu area there are many options to choose from, and so if you do not already have a favorite hotel in the area, we are offering our recommendations to assist you in your search. We have personally stayed at the Sheraton and the Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation and we feel that they are excellent options for your stay in Kauai. These two resorts are right next to each other, so if you decide to stay at one of these resorts, you will be in walking distance of other guests that will be attending the wedding. Also both resorts are in very easy walking distance to the Poipu Shopping Village, where you will find Keoki’s Paradise, Roy’s Restaurant, and other dining and shopping options. There is also the option of staying at the Grand Hyatt Kauai. If we could, we would live at this resort. However, a stay at this resort may not be in everyone’s budget. Sheraton Kauai – A great choice if you would like to lay poolside right on the beach, while being served Mai-Tais. The rooms are clean, and the beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. The grounds are a lush tropical garden. There are several dining options including Rumfire Restaurant and the poolside Lava’s. Please be prepared for a $30/Day Resort Fee.

Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation –The Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation offers 1 or 2 condos with full kitchen. In the midst of gorgeous orchid and succulent gardens, the Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation is a great choice for families. There is easy beach access, and some of the condos have beach views. There is a restaurant available on site, the Plantation Gardens. A swimming pool and hot tub are available, however they are located across a busy street from the resort. It is possible to walk or drive to the swimming pool. This resort is directly across the street from Poipu Shopping Village, where you will find Keoki’s Paradise and other dining options. Housekeeping service is included when you stay 5 nights or longer. No Resort Fee.

Grand Hyatt Kauai – Our wedding will be at this gorgeous resort. There are many dining options, the Anara Spa, tennis courts, and enticing pools. The service here anticipates your needs.
